I am getting closer and closer to an hour of edited footage :) (By "edited footage", I mean that I have roughly trimmed my videos to include important events or a gist of what happened. For example, when I was running for about half an hour straight on a treadmill, I thought it would be too boring to watch for a long time, so I only included a few seconds.) I have about a total of 45 minutes worth of this "edited footage". Most of it are Just Dance songs, but that is what I recorded the most of. Also, I had my mom film some videos of our hikes so I also have that. Some videos were too long or I did not like them too much, so I only had enough of the song so that you can see the score (which shows that I was dancing for the entire song) and hear the lyrics when the title is sung. Below is a picture of me running (progress! :D):

I have more exercise in than the footage shows. I will probably do an entire workout the way it is supposed to be (both A and B days), and then I will do a hike with a go pro on me, and maybe do a run with a go pro, too--then I'll have enough footage for an hour long video. Hope I can figure out how to edit videos. I really am starting to think I should have chosen to learn to play a song on the piano or the guitar instead of choosing this project idea, but now it is definitely too late :( OK, so I was having basically daily hikes with my mom, then the weekend came and my stepfather was home all day and my mom started spending more time with him because he is at work every week day from about 4 AM for about twelve hours and then takes a bath and she only really sees him at dinner time until they fall asleep. So on weekends, they use that time to get together and we weren't able to take a walk for the weekend, then we got used to not taking walks. Then my cat died and they we...

My goals at the beginning were something along the lines of "improving endurance" and that, although a nice thought, has no way of being measured. So I guess my new takeaway is to just try to exercise every day about 30 minutes, no matter the exercise. An exercise outside the routine is better than no exercise. I have gone on bike rides, today I went on a hike with my mom. We only stopped because it was getting late, but we agreed on going back out today. I have done some of the homework that is due tomorrow throughout this day, so that I have more time tomorrow. I hope that by the end of the project, I do end up with increased stamina and endurance, however I may measure that. Before, what motivated me to do exercise was spending time with my friends and having fun. Obviously, that is not possible at this time, so I have not felt the motivation to move around. I hope that by not being limited to the same exercises alternated every other day, I will feel more inclined to mov...

Fifth Day

What did I accomplish this week?  Just about nothing. Last night, I did a rushed "workout". I wouldn't even call that a workout. I did a set of bench presses, 70 crunches in one go, and a few pushups (less than half of the first set), 1 set of curls, and a set of squats, plus a few other without the vest to check my technique. What am I working on right now? Finishing work as soon as I can so that I can have more time to actually exercise and to be with my family. Honestly, right now, I'm trying to stay on weight solely on my diet. What do I plan to do next? I plan on filming myself more while working out, so that I may have enough footage for the end video. Picture of progress: (This is me in the middle of a walk with my mom. I made a stop at the trail where a river can be found and had my mom film me. The video of me climbing up is added in the video.)

Ok! So, in the beginning, I had a plan to learn psychology in a few months. But, of course, that was not enough time. Also, I did not have a clear goal so I could not have possibly achieved anything worthy. Second, I thought of going vegan until May, but that would be a very hard thing to do considering we are self-quarantining and are not supposed to be going out anytime we want a specific spice or food to experiment in making. In a normal scenario I would totally go for it, but will not due to the covid-19. My last idea is the one I am sticking with (at last). That is to start a workout routine, stick with it, and hopefully, stay healthy. Also, to end up having more than 1 hour worth of footage so as to end up with 1 hour worth of edited footage. On the second day of my routine (B day; go back to my third post to see the routine) I was doing crunches and my back was hurting so I decided to get the yoga mat. I pick it up and PEE falls on the floor and on my shoe. CAT PEE! After th...

Amongst the few ways to prevent getting the coronavirus is to stay fit. If we were to stay at home and do little effort to move around during the 2+ week period of quarantine and social distancing, then we all would be susceptible to the virus. Many believe that to stay fit, one must exercise for many hours a day, so they get discouraged and stop exercising altogether. That is not true. With only 30 minutes a day, anyone can stay or start to become fit. To combat the novel coronavirus of 2019, I plan to follow an exercise routine which should take me about 30 minutes or less a day. Although my routine might be too much or too little for your personal needs, you may adjust as necessary and stay healthy with me. I am not a fitness coach, but my step father--who  has been exercising since he was about thirteen years old, about forty years-- helped me come up with the routine. By following a version of my routine, you should feel stronger, be faster, look and feel better, and stay h...

G í a Checo Roques 20 Time Proposal: Exercising to Prevent Contracting the Novel Covid-19 Can exercising really stop one from getting the coronavirus? Needs and Opportunities This project, hopefully, will stop me from getting the coronavirus.  Audience / Clients / Users Through this project, I expect to stay fit enough to fight against the contraction of the coronavirus and show my progress with an hour worth of edited footage.
